The Hunsrück and Nahe regions are situated in the west of Germany. The
Hunsrück, a picturesque highland region, is known for its deep valleys, vast plateaus and unspoilt countryside, while the Nahe region is a wine-growing area that produces some of the most delicious wines. The local inhabitants are particularly proud of their characteristic Hunsrück villages with traditional timber-framed and slate buildings. The region is also famous for its gemstone and jewellery industries, which date back more than 500 years.
